If you are trying to lose a few kilos, there are only a few foods like coconut oil and eggs which are believed to help one lose. However, there are many foods that can lead to weight gain. So, be careful. Here’s a list of 7 foods that one must avoid when trying to lose weight.

 

Candy Bars

Added sugar, added oils lead to added kilos. In a small package candy bars pack a lot of calories, while remaining low in nutrients. So, CANDY BARS are a strict no no.

Sugary Drinks

Cold drinks and sodas might seem like a blessing in the summer heat. But they are a curse for your health and your waist line. So, stay away from Sugary Drinks.

White Bread

White bread made from very fine flour can increase your blood sugar levels and lead to overeating. Therefore, replace white bread with brown, or multi-grain bread.

Potato Chips

Whole potatoes are healthy and filling, but french fries and potato chips are not. These are fattening. Instead eat boiled or baked potatoes.

Cakes and Pastries

Pastries and cakes often contain large amounts of added sugar, refined flour and sometimes trans fat. These foods are high in calories but not very filling. Therefore they aren’t your friends in the weight loss journey. They are the enemies.

Beer

If you are trying to lose weight, you may want to consider cutting back on beer or skipping it altogether. Wine in small amounts seems to be fine.

Packaged Fruit Juices

Fruit juices are highly processed and loaded with sugar. They are not healthy. Eat a fruit instead.
